Security

Your browser is the whole product.

01

What never leaves your device:

the text you paste, the findings, the audit log, and your custom dictionaries. All of it stays in your browser.

02

Network calls:

PasteLens only reaches the network for one thing: if you are a Pro user, it sends a single request to validate your licence key, sending the key and its status only, never your content. On the free tier it makes no network requests at all.

03

Metadata-only auditing:

every logged event is { time, destination site, action, per-category counts, regime tags }. We deliberately left out any field for the matched text.

04

Minimal permissions:

the guard only runs on the AI sites it supports (ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, Perplexity, Grok, Meta AI, DeepSeek, Mistral Le Chat). Not on every site you visit.

05

Fail-open by design:

if the check ever errors, your paste still goes through. Protection should never cost you your work.

06

No telemetry. No analytics. Ever.

There are no usage trackers, no third-party analytics, and nothing about how you use PasteLens is sent back to us.

07

Honesty note:

PasteLens is a control-and-evidence layer. It helps you prevent leaks and show your work, but it does not certify compliance. No tool does.

Prove it to yourself: open your Network panel on the demo and paste.

  1. Open your browser's developer tools: press F12, or Cmd+Option+I on Mac, or Ctrl+Shift+I on Windows and Linux.
  2. Click the Network tab.
  3. Paste any test text into the PasteLens live demo.
  4. Watch the Network tab: PasteLens sends nothing while you type or paste.
